Heyyyy Sis!

We’re officially moving into a new season. That transition from Summer to Fall is always a refreshing feel. Although it’s finally September, it still feels like the middle of June here in Florida! I spent the entire summer wearing these super long box braids and I must say that I’m extremely happy to be back to my curly, rich fro. Each year it feels like we’re getting closer to the sun. Thankfully though, the weather will be transitioning soon and I’m too ready sis! Cooler temperatures mean super cute jackets, fierce thigh high boots, and of course leggings – a girls favorite comfy garment. But as the weather begins to shift, I too feel a transition within myself. I’ll be 23 on the 23rd and I feel an abundance of growth. Btw shoutout to all my Libras!<3 But I’m finally growing into my true self and I feel the best I’ve ever felt. I wake up just wanting to be out in the world. Whether it’s going shopping, spending a day at the park, or even going to my favorite breakfast spot, I crave simply living. I used to be a home body, always content in the comforts of my private space. With time and growth though, I come to enjoy the engagement with the world. On my daily adventures out on the town, I bring along my camera to capture moments of my spontaneous quest of joyous fulfillment. I found that this has become a new favorite hobby of mine. I absolutely love taking pictures and creating authentic vibes. With the approach of my 23rd birthday, I feel a closer acquaintance with myself. I feel confident, I feel pretty, I feel like the year approaching will be nothing but great to me! I believe in the power of numbers and 23 has always been my favorite number. All the greats wore #23, my birthday is on the 23rd, and I’m turning 23 this year. Feels like everything is perfectly aligned for the betterment of my prosperity and I’m ready and here for it. Almond Nails - Coffin nails has been the craze for a few years now, but the GAG IS, almond nails are coming to snatch the fan fav crown! The classy, natural shaped style is starting to become a must have in the nail world. This flattering style is a bit subtle but gets the girls looking!

Joann Sew-Anne - Lately I've been in a creative spell that I hope I never fall out of. Joann's Fabrics has been my favorite new shopping trip. I love indulging in different hobbies and keeping my creative juices flowing. Just recently my grandma gave me her sewing machine and I've been in love since the day she presented it to me. Making things from scratch and seeing the final product unfold is a thrill I can't get enough of. I bought a metallic, silky green fabric from Joann's and I'm currently working on creating a purse. Purses are my favorite accessory and I don't think a girl can ever have too many. An authentic, inexpensive purse is sometimes hard to come by so I thought I'd give my creative mind a challenge,by creating one of my own! She's still in the works but I'll be sure to give you gals an update on my designer endeavors.

Lately I've been really into photography, but I also run a Media Empowerment blog called The Cocoa Bean. The Sony Alpha a7 is a phenomenal camera that gives a movie like production. This beauty is definitely on the top tier of my wish list. Not only will it give me bomb photos, but it will also help take my company to the next level by bringing my visions to life, as they are vividly in my mind. This cost a pretty penny so I'm currently on a save rave.

Crushing On

I have the biggest heart eyes for Mihlali Ndamase! She's a South African beauty who loves anything involving cosmetics.. Mihlali is a Content Creator and Co-Founder of Siyasizana Foundation. I adore her sense of style and how naturally beautiful she is. My dad's ancestors originate from Johannesburg and I often feel a spiritual kinship with women from South Africa. My current lock screen is my favorite photo of me right now. I went to an R&B Showcase this August night and I felt absolutely fierce! I remember everyone complimenting my mahogany ensemble which made my inner fashionista smile.

I'm truly a R&B Junkie. I love melodic tunes and a well written song. Justine Skye just recently dropped her 'Bare With Me' EP and I'm a fan! She's been having trouble getting that big break through and I think with the release of this EP she's definitely proving that she's very much capable and ready to soar in the music industry.
