Style Crush: VMA Edition

Hey It Gals! I'm back and as many of us already know the VMA's were yesterday and our favorite celebrities and influencers hit the pink carpet showcasing their style. Below are my favorites from last night, but before that I wanted to talk about the best moments of the award show. In my personal opinion Nicki Minaj killed her set performing pieces of Majesty, Barbie Dreams, Ganga Burns and FEFE with the crowd holding her down signing and rapping every word along with her! It was so good to see. Ariana Grande also rocked it performing one of her singles, God is a Woman, from her new album Sweetner. Of course can't forget the woman of the night, Vanguard Award recipient, Jennifer Lopez, who showed us the very reason last night was dedicated to her. She gave us many variations of her long list of hits from old to new, danced her a** off, and served look after look.

Jennifer Lopez at the VMA's

J-Lo! What can I say? Her look speaks for itself. She showed up and showed out in this metallic silver gown with all metallic silver accessories to match. Effortless.

Ashanti at the VMA's

Ashanti looked stunning in her metallic gown and high slits to show just how THICK THIGHS SAVE LIVES! With minimal accessories and her hair tucked behind her ears we are able to admire the beauty of this dress and Ashanti herself.

Cardi at the VMA's

Cardi arrived to the VMA's in a velvet fuschia wrap dress and switched up the hair to a face framing short cut and we are loving it. Her emerald gems and fuschia heels gave the right amount of pop and simplicity. Muva came to serve last night giving us just the right amount of skin. Tasteful and classy.

Actress Olivia Munn at the VMA's

Olivia! I loved this waist cinching, purple textured, high slit and strapless number. This complimented her aesthetic. Her minimal accessories allowed this dress, with her in it, to pop on its own. Super cute, sexy and simple for the VMA's. Not too much, but definitely just enough.

The gorgeous Shay Mitchell brought a splash of color, shape and texture to the pink carpet. This two piece, deep v-neck blazer and matching mini skirt looked so bomb on Shay. With her hair pulled back and very simple accessory choices of studs and silver sandal heel, she effortlessly rocked this look.

Chloe x Halle. I just love how they are never wearing the exact same thing, but always complimenting one another's aesthetic displaying their style as a unit. It's so refreshing to see them on any carpet because of this. The girls both wore textured but flowy sheer gowns giving illusions of different silhouettes. I loved the peek-a-boo skin effect giving the perfect balance of edgy-ness and sophistication.

Left to Right: Hayley Kiyoko, Karlie Kloss, Rita Ora, Kylie Jenner

Pictured above are a few more of my favorites from the VMA's. Who were yours? Let me know on Instagram.

I loved Kylie's blazer dress, simple, clean but so fashionable. Karlie's metallic high slit, with spaghetti straps and cinched waist line dress made such a statement. Rita is a well known fashionista, who added her style touch to the skin trend at the VMA's, so her bold and daring look complimented her aesthetic well. Hayley gave us sexy, girly vibes in her plunging v-neck, A-line dress. Perfect mix of innocence and bad a**.

Skin was definitely in this year at the 2018 VMA's along with high slits and metallic colors, but all in all these ladies looked fabulous.

See ya later!
